Tai Tam is an area in Southern District on Hong Kong Island, adjacent to Stanley, The Tai Tam reservoir is a large fresh-water reservoir, surrounded by a country park.
Tai Tam means a big pool in the Chinese language which illustrates a triangular bay, namely Tai Tam Bay between Stanley Peninsula, D'Aguilar Peak and Tai Tam Tuk. The meaning of Tai Tam varies greatly between the early colonial days and present-day.
Tai Tam is largely consists of a mixture of high-rise and townhouse estates with gardens and private pools, some offering fantastic facilities. Views over the South China Sea are tremendous here. Most of the apartments here will be unobstructed.
