Ho Man Tin is located in Kowloon City West Valley, located in southeast of Mongkok, the north of King's Park. It is a predominantly residential communities, including Waterloo Hill, Ho Man Tin Hill Road and so on. Mainly Middle class residents live in Ho Man Tin. Ho Man Tin is one of the luxurious residential area in Hong Kong.
Ho Man Tin is mainly a residential area. In its early development, the major public housing estate are Ho Man Tin Estate, Oi Man Estate and Chun Man Court and so on. And later more luxury properties such as Parc Palais, Kadoorie Hill Gardens, Celestial, Homantin Hill, Ho Man Tin Hill are completed.
Although Ho Man Tin school net is different from Kowloon Tong but some prestigious and famous schools can still be found in Ho Man Tin, e.g. Hong Kong Pui Ching Middle School, Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College and Ho Man Tin Government Secondary School. So a lot of parents also specifically choose to live in Ho Man Tin district which can allow their children to attend their favourite schools conveniently.
In 2008 the Executive Council has approved the Sha Tin to Central Link, and establish the Ho Man Tin Station. The project is estimated to be completed in 2015.
